North Wales Workers ‘Betrayed’ 17 Nov 2017
The Parc Adfer Deeside area workforce has been sadly let down by a union-hating company and an uncaring, incompetent local authority conglomerate says GMB.
GMB and Unite have accused a conglomerate of North Wales councils of ‘betraying’ the local workforce.
The agreement dates back to the 2016-17 pay negotiations where Cardiff Airport agreed with the GMB that it would strive to achieve parity with the Living Wage Foundation rate of pay.
Quarter of Welsh Workers on Poverty Pay 8 Nov 2017
A report has revealed one in four workers in Wales are being paid below the voluntary living wage. 268,000 workers earned less than the old living rate in 2017 - an increase of 1 per cent compared to 2016.
